Leipzig Klezmer Session

Hello to all jam enthusiasts and lovers of Eastern European folk music,

Every other Monday, Leipzig’s klezmer scene* meets at the café at Dresdner59 for jam sessions and to learn new tunes. The session is open to everyone. Bring your instruments and let’s get started!

We’re building a repertoire based on the Klezmer Playbook (www.shades-of-folk.com), and there’s a signal group and an internal YouTube channel to support learning the tunes and fostering community interaction.

Check my calendar for upcoming dates and just drop by next Monday :-)!

*Klezmer is the traditional dance and festive music of the Jewish people of Eastern Europe.
